About UGC NET
The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This exam is an important test attended by candidates aspiring to apply for the Assistant Professor post, Junior Research Fellowship, or both. The selected ones are recruited to government colleges and Universities in India. Until 2018, this test was conducted officially by CBSE, which later was administered by National Testing Agency. The National Testing Agency conducts the eligibility test twice a year, and this update is regarding UGC NET December Cycle (May 2021). What is UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021?
UGC NET 2021 is one of the toughest exam to clear for both JRF and Assistant Professorship. To clear this exam, candidates will require to understand the UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021 first. UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021 – Paper I
- Paper I of the UGC NET JRF exam will be an objective type examination.
- This exam will be 1 hour in duration and will consist 50
- There is no negative marking in the exam.
- Candidates will be awarded +2 marks for every correct answer.
- Paper I will be bilingual.

- Paper II will comprise of the topics based on the chosen subject.
