NERIST Entrance Exam 2020

There are four steps in applying for NEE- registration, filling the form, uploading documents and payment of fees. 

  • It is compulsory for students to have passed class 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
  • This exam is conducted on three different levels as NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III.
  • The application fee is INR 1000 for General/OBC students and INR 600 for SC/ST/PD students.
  • Payment of application fee through online mode only.

About University:-

North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology was founded with a 1979 proposal by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to establish a Science and Technology Institute. A report made by a team of professors from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad in 1981–82, was submitted to the North Eastern Council (NEC) which approved it, paving the way to the registering of the society for the institute on 11th January 1983.

NERIST Entrance Examination 2020 Eligibility Criteria

To appear for NEE, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

  • Candidates appearing for NEE needs to make sure that they are not more than 23 years as on July 31, 2020 (for the student of General category), 26 years, born on or after August 1, 1995 (for OBC and female applicants), and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after August 1, 1989).
  • Applicants must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as main subjects. Those candidates who are seeking an entry through NEE (Vocational) exam, must have passed 10+2 (Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches- Agricultural Engineering, Farm Equipment, Food Processing (FP), Civil Engineering] Construction Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
